Chris Duda led off the tenth inning with a home run to give the Bears a 13-12 lead, and Tony Boxwell later scored in the inning to give CU an insurance run and a 14-12 win over Winona State on Monday in Winona. With the win, the Bears improve to 19-6 (8-2 NSIC).
Concordia used 16 hits to score 14 runs and had six players with at least two hits in the game. Chris Duda went 3-5 with a double and the game-winning home run. He also scored four runs in the game.
Concordia scored five runs in the top of the eighth inning on four hits, including a two-run double by Erik Quarberg. They also got some help from the Winona pitching staff in the inning with two walks, a balk, and a batter (Duda) that was hit by a pitch.
Ryan Fixell earned the win for the Bears, allowing two runs on five hits, and Geoff Bray got the save allowing no hits and striking out two in the tenth inning.
