Against the Beavers, the Bears got two runs in the second inning on a leadoff hit by Kelly Schwietz and a single by Vanessa Dufresne, along with a RBI single by Nikki Smith. But Smith did the major damage in the bottom of the sixth inning with a grand slam home run.

Mandy Turba allowed just one hit in five innings of work, and Kristen Schmidt pitched the final two innings and struck out all six batters she faced. For the game, the Bears had six hits and left eight runners on base.

In the second game against UM Crookston, the Bears jumped out to a 3-0 lead after two innings on two hits, three UMC errors, and a hit batsman. Jennifer Pozzani ledoff the game being hit by a pitch and then stole second and advanced to third on an error by the catcher. Elizabeth Plante singled up the middle to score Pozzani. In the fourth inning, Schwietz tripled to right center and scored on a sacrifice fly by Smith. Kristin Linell did the major damage with the Bears' third grand slam in two days in the fifth inning, giving the Bears a 11-1 lead and win.
