After dropping the first game on the road 30-23 to Wayne State, the Bears rallied to take game two in a marathon fashion, 44-42. CU proceeded to win game three 30-24 and win game four 30-28, remaining unbeaten in NSIC action at 8-0 and 18-4 overall.
Junior
Kelsey Kyro led the Bears offensive attack with 25 kills, only four errors, and a .465 hitting percentage. She was one of five Bears in double-figures in kills. Junior
Jessica Lucia had a 20-20 performance with 20 kills and 26 digs.
Ashley Olson also had a double-double with ten kills and 25 digs.
Val Olson added 18 kills, and
Monica McNamara had ten kills.
Defensively,
Megan Graham had a career-high 38 digs, while
Danielle Neihls added 23 digs.
Cailin Terhaar had 18. As a team, the Bears recorded a season-high 142 digs in the match. Terhaar also tied a season high with 71 set assists.
As a team, the Bears had 87 kills, compared to Wayne State's 59. The Bears hit .180 as a team, while the Wildcats hit .171. Wayne State had 17 team blocks compared to the Bears' three.
The Bears will be in action again tomorrow night when they face Southwest Minnesota State in NSIC action.
