Katie Pavlich scored her only points of the game with a 3-point field goal with 18 seconds left to give UM Duluth a 58-57 win over Concordia in the NSIC championship game.
The game between the top two teams in the NSIC saw 13 lead changes and six ties, with neither team leading by more than seven points.
Junior Jennifer Pozzani led the Bears with 19 points and five rebounds despite sitting on the bench for most of the second half with four fouls.
Ashley Smith and Carly Christensen each had 12 points for the Bears. Senior Jill Kalvik had a team-high 7 rebounds and three blocked shots in her first start of the season, starting for the injured Kayla Christensen. Kalvik also led the team with three assists.
Tanysha Scott and Lindsey Dietz each had 16 for UM Duluth, who won their last chance at a NSIC championship, as they will leave the NSIC and join the North Central Conference next season.
The Bears will await their fate until the NCAA pairings will be announced tonight at 10:30 p.m. The Bears will find out who and where they will play.
