He effectively ended the game, sacking Wildcat quarterback Zach Osborn on WSC’s final drive in the fourth quarter, forcing a fumble that Concordia recovered with 29 seconds to play to end WSC’s late comeback. He also made a tackle on the drive before with Concordia trailing by three with 2:31 to play as the Golden Bears forced a Wildcat 3-and-out, setting up the go-ahead drive. On the drive before that, Trifunov recovered a fumble on the Wildcat 18 yard line, setting up a touchdown that brought Concordia within three points with 3:42 to play. Of his 10 tackles in the game, only two were after WSC picked up a first down. He also had one tackle for loss, one sack, one fumble forced and one fumble recovery. His 74 tackles on the year lead the team and are fourth in the NSIC.
