Concordia women's golf freshman Savannah Stone opened the NSIC Championships in a big way by firing a 78 to lead the individual leaderboard of 60 players. She stayed strong in the second round and is in third place halfway through the NSIC Championships, will be resumed with two more rounds in the spring.

Her strong performance over the weekend has helped the team to a first place tie in the NSIC Championship team standings.

Stone is second on the team with a season average of 80.00 through the first eight rounds of her career and has one top-5 and three top-10 finishes.
