Spears topped the 100-yard mark for the third time in four games to start the 2013 season as he bruised the Dragon defense for 150 yards and two touchdowns on 29 carries. More importantly, he carried the load offensively for the Golden Bears in a 36-34 win as Concordia dominated time of possession with 34:34, nearly a 10-minute advantage.

His 490 yards on the season rank fifth in the conference as he averages 122.5 yards per game on the ground.
