Junior running back Tre Spears (Chicago) posted his second straight 100-yard game to start the 2013 season by rushing a career-high 36 times for 162 yards to lift the Golden Bears over Bemidji State, 17-14 on the road.

Spears is currently ranked third in the NSIC with 280 rushing yards and now has five 100-yard rushing games as a second-year starting running back. It’s the second straight year Spears has opened the season with back-to-back 100-yard efforts.
