Concordia’s floor general led the Golden Bears to a pair of impressive road victories while averaging 17.5 points, 7.0 assists and a 3.5-1 assist/turnover ratio over the weekend. He was also efficient from the field, shooting 60.9% (14-23) while hitting 7-of-10 at the line.

At 15th-ranked Winona State on Friday night, VanPelt produced his first career double-double with 16 points and 11 assists and just two turnovers in a 15-point win over the Warriors. He shot 6-of-8 from the floor and 4-of-4 at the line in the win.

On Saturday at Upper Iowa, VanPelt led all scorers in the game with 19 points and had a pair of steals, shooting 8-of-15 against the Peacocks in the two point road win.

He’s the Northern Sun’s fourth leading scorer (19.0) and third leading distributor (4.7) on the season.
