The Northern Sun’s assist leader (5.6/game) produced a triple-double last week while averaging 14.0 points, 9.7 assists and 9.0 rebounds in leading the Golden Bears to three crucial wins over #20 Minnesota State at home along with road wins at Minnesota Duluth and St. Cloud State.
Her triple-double came in the weekend finale, closing out a stretch of five games in nine days as she played in 118 out of a possible 120 minutes in the three game week as well as back-to-back 40-minute efforts. She scored 13 points with 11 assists and 11 rebounds in a 4-point win at SCSU to become the third player in NCAA DII to record a triple-double this season.
She also narrowly missed a triple-double Tuesday in a double-digit win over the Mavericks with 10 points, 11 assists and nine rebounds.
She scored a season-high 19 points in Friday’s win at UMD, adding seven assists and seven rebounds.
For the week, Hansen reached the free throw line nearly 10 times per game, making 85.7% (24-28). She also added five steals for the week including four against MSU.
On the year, she’s been a solid all-around point guard with 9.9 points, 5.6 rebounds and 5.6 assists while adding 1.6 steals per game.
