In two career performances, freshman Michelle Ndely has set and then re-set the school record in the 60 meter hurdles. The rookie speedster shaved off .07 on her time at the University of Minnesota's Northwest Open on Saturday to a 9.26 mark and finished fourth (of 14) in the event and second among freshmen. The top nine finishers were all from the Northern Sun as well.

She also had a strong showing in the 60 meter dash with a new PR 8.40 mark to finish seventh (of 17), and just a hair behind a University of Minnesota runner that finished with the same time. The 60 meter dash also featured a strong field of athletes primarily from the Northern Sun with one unattached runner along with the Gopher competitor.
