VanPelt continued his sophomore breakout season by averaging 20.5 points in two road games including a career-high 28 points at SMSU on Saturday night.

VanPelt is the league’s third-leading scorer at 20.1 points per game and maintained his 4.0 assist average by dishing out eight total assists in the two games, and ranks fourth in the NSIC in assists.

On Friday, VanPelt battled through foul trouble at USF and finished with 13 points on 5-of-7 shooting.

On Saturday at SMSU, VanPelt scored a career-high 28 points including 15-of-17 free throw shooting while dishing a career-high seven assists and nabbing four steals.
