Ellie Duffy played a key role in last weekend’s NCAA Central Region Championship, being named to the All-Tournament Team.
The recently named AVCA Second Team All-American outside hitter led the team in kills with 40 in 10 sets, averaging four per set.
She posted a team-high 10 kills on 25 attempts (four errors) for a .240 percentage in the quarterfinal win over Wayne State. In the semifinals against Minnesota Duluth, Duffy collected 10 kills on 25 attempts (two errors) once again for a .320 clip. To cap the weekend, she reached a team-leading 20 kills on 54 attempts (six errors) for a .259 rate in the title match against Nebraska-Kearney.
In ten sets, Duffy added five services aces, 16 digs and five blocks.
