Whiting was named to the Radisson Roseville Thanksgiving Classic All-Tournament Team for her exemplary performance. In the loss to William Penn, Whiting scored 15 points on 6-for-10 shooting from the field and led the team with nine rebounds. On Saturday in the win over Nebraska Kearney, Whiting led the Bears with 20 points on 8-of-11 shooting from the field. She also hauled in a team-high seven rebounds.
Whiting is off to fast to start for CU. After the first four games of the season, the sophomore forward leads the team averaging 17.3 points per game, 61.4% shooting from the field and 8.0 rebounds. She ranks 10th in the league in scoring, 13th in rebounding, seventh in field goal percentage and eighth in blocked shots.
