Ashley Murtha proved to be an all-around threat for the Golden Bears throughout the 2012 NSIC/US Bank Volleyball Tournament, earning a spot on the six-member All-Tournament Team.
Murtha recorded double-digit kills in all three matches and posted two double-doubles. She tallied a game-high 15 kills on 33 attempts with one error for a .424 attack percentage in the quarterfinal win over Augustana. She also posted 13 digs, two blocks and a service ace.
In the semifinal against Northern State, the outside hitter accumulated 10 kills on 25 attempts (three errors) for a .280 clip. Defensively, she racked up eight digs, two blocks and a service ace.
Murtha capped the tourney with 18 kills (eight errors) on 55 attempts for a .182 percentage against SMSU. She added 15 digs and two blocks assists for her fifth double-double of the season.
For the weekend, Murtha averaged 3.91 kills per set with a .274 attack percentage. She also averaged 3.27 digs per set.
