(Throws, 6-4, 250, Sr., Green Bay, Wis. / Preble HS)
Cullen became Concordia's first-ever Division II track & field All-American, earning USTFCCCA Indoor All-America Second Team honors in the shot put.
After becoming the program's first national qualifier for the NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field Championships in the shot put on the men's side, Cullen registered an 11th place finish with a mark of 54 feet, 1.25 inches on the largest stage in Birmingham, Ala. to take home the All-America accolades.
It was his shot put at the NSIC Indoor Track & Field Championships at Minnesota State that set the school record, made him an NSIC Champion and a USTFCCCA All-Central Region selection. Cullen put down a personal best throw of 55 feet, 10.5 inches at the conference championships and was the only NSIC athlete in the shot put to qualify for the 16 spots to the Division II Championships in the event.
In addition to his All-America performance on the indoor shot put circuit, Cullen would also set the school record in the weight throw at 55 feet, 1 inch at the Lake Superior Challenge in early February to secure a second place finish at the event while securing a first place finish in the shot put at the same meet.
Cullen didn't stop at the indoor season, he continued to put together a strong season in the outdoor campaign, repeating as an All-Conference performer in the shot put with a school-record throw of 52 feet, 8.25 inches to finish third as his performances at the NSIC Indoor and Outdoor Championships set school records in the shot put.
On the year, Cullen finished in the top-3 of an event 15 times while winning the shot put event five times with one title in the weight throw. He set three school records along the way.
He would capture Concordia Male Athlete of the Week honors five times throughout the season and earned NSIC Male Field Athlete of the Week honors once as well.
Initially a two-sport athlete at Concordia, Cullen spent three years on the football team before focusing on track & field. He was named Concordia Male Athlete of the Week seven times in his career and graduated with a double-major in criminal justice and communications. The Dean's List student-athlete will pursue a career in law enforcement.
