Concordia freshman Chance Maiers had his breakout performance at the Quarry Oaks Collegiate co-hosted by Concordia and Augustana. He shot a career best round of 73 in the first round before following it up with a solid 77 second round. His 150 two round tournament score was a career best by eight strokes and not only did he card his first career top-10 finish, he tied for third for his first top-5 finish. He’s played in five out of seven events and 11 out of 15 team rounds this year and has a 79.45 season average. Maiers’ round of 73 was also tied for the second best individual performance of the season at +1, which he also did when he shot a 74 in the SCSU Husky Classic in September. He’s shot 74 or better three times.
