Dalton is off to a blazing start to the 2014 season, hitting safely in the first 10 games to stretch his hitting streak to 21 dating back to the final 11 games of the 2013 season.
Last week, Dalton hit .541 with a .558 on base percentage while slugging .703 over nine games as he racked up 20 hits, scored 14 runs, drove in 13 and swiped a pair of bases to help the Golden Bears to a 7-2 record. He hit three doubles and his first career home run. He had six multi-hit games, three games with three-plus hits and a five hit performance, going 5-6 with four runs, two RBI and two doubles in a 20-3 win over Bemidji State. He drove in a run or scored a run in every game, had three games with multiple runs and four games with multiple RBI including a five RBI game as he went 3-5 with a walk, stolen base, hit by pitch and sacrifice fly in eight plate appearances against Dordt. In 10 games to start the season, Dalton holds a .561/.583/.707 slash line with 15 runs, 13 RBI and four stolen bases.
Dalton ranks fifth in the nation in average (.571), 11th in on base percentage (.583) and runs per game (1.50), 33rd in RBI per game (1.30) and 36th in slugging (.707).
