Senior point guard Rachel Hansen averaged 15.5 points, 8.5 rebounds and 7.0 assists to lead the Golden Bears to wins in the NSIC/Sanford Health Tournament first round and quarterfinals to put the team in the semifinals.
She also turned the ball over just twice for a 7-to-1 assist-turnover ratio while playing 36.5 minutes per game, adding three steals and a block.
In the first round win over UMD at home last Wednesday, Hansen had 20 points, 10 rebounds and missed a triple-double by two assists with eight, committing just one turnover in the 81-72 win. She shot 7-12 from the field. In Sunday night's win over second-seeded Minot State, Hansen had 11 points, seven rebounds and six assists with just one turnover again in a 73-52 win.
Hansen has now scored 1,219 career points with 455 assists and 561 rebounds. She's shooting a career-best 42.0% from the floor and has career-highs of 12.7 ppg, 6.1 rpg, is three assists shy of last year's career-high of 157 and has tied her career-high with 49 steals.
Her 5.0 assists per game leads the NSIC as does her season 2.23 assist-turnover ratio.
