John Potter was the only player at the SCSU Husky Classic to produce back-to-back par or better rounds, finishing even in the 36-hole tournament with a 144 (72-72). The results placed him in a 5-way tie for first place at the tournament and he helped lead the Golden Bears to a 5th place finish after being tied for 7th after the first round.

Earlier in the week, Potter dropped in a pair of solid rounds at the Wildwood Lodge Concordia Invitational at Tartan Park Golf Course, tying for 15th individually by shooting rounds of 76 and 77 for a 153 tournament total.

He captured his second first-place finish of his career and his eighth top-5 mark.
