Terez VanPelt averaged 18.0 points, 5.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists over the weekend to help the Golden Bears to a split. In Friday’s win over Minnesota Duluth, VanPelt poured in 24 points despite being held to just two points for the first 19-plus minutes of play. He’s the league’s second leading scorer both overall (18.3) and in conference play (19.3).

He is now within reach of becoming Concordia's 16th overall and 7th Division II-era (1999-present) member of the 1,000 point club. VanPelt needs 50 points to hit the personal milestone. The last player to join the club was Mike Cunningham in the 2009-10 season.
