She leaves Concordia as a four-time NCAA Champion and earned NCAA All-Tournament Team honors all four years of the Golden Bears' championship runs. The four-time AVCA All-American truly went out on top along with her other four senior teammates.
Koenecke was simply unstoppable throughout the three matches at the 2013 NCAA Division II Volleyball Championship Tournament at U.S. Cellular Center in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
For the week, she delivered 32 kills (3.2/set), 34 digs (3.4/set) adn hit an astounding .483 in 58 total attacks with only four errors in three matches (10 sets). She also posted four blocks, two aces and set up her teammates with 10 assists. Of the 30 times she was served to, she had just one reception error (.967).
In Thursday's quarterfinal win over formerly #1 Tampa, she hit .500 with 14 kills and just two errors along with 13 digs, three blocks and four set assists.
In Friday's semifinal win over formerly #25 Wheeling Jesuit, she hit .500 for the second straight night with 10 kills (one error) while adding eight digs and four more assists.
In Saturday's championship win over formerly #4 BYU-Hawaii, she hit .438 with eight kills (one error) and 13 digs with two assists and a block.
One of the best all-around players in program history finished off her career as the program's career leader in hitting percentage at .392 as well as 1,663 kills, third all-time. Koenecke also finished fifth in points (1949), sixth in service aces (127), sixth in digs (1,424), eighth in total blocks (284), and eighth in assists (429).
