Ruth was named Concordia Woman Athlete of the Year in 1980. During her four years at Concordia ('76-'80), Ruth participated in 12 athletic seasons (volleyball, basketball, softball, tennis) and recieved 11 athletic letters. She is currently a homemaker and dairy operator at her home in Reedsville, WI.
