A standout basketball and baseball player, John earned most valuable player and all-conference honors. He led the Comet basketball team to the C.I.T. Championship in 1960, plus the baseball team to two conference championships while playing second base and shortstop. John has been a coach, teacher and athletic director for thirty-three years at Lutheran High School West in Cleveland, OH.
