After making the short trip from Richfield, Minnesota (Richfield HS) to Concordia, Zeon burst onto the scene as a consistent performer for the track & field program as the criminal justice major was an eight-time All-NSIC selection during his four years on campus.
After an impressive start in his first season earned him a 13th place finish in the long jump at the 2009 NCAA Indoor Championships, Zeon continued to pile up strong performances as he scored points in all eight NSIC Championships he competed in during his career, registering double-digit points hauls five times.
His name still graces the CSP record books as his 4x200m relay teams in both indoor and outdoor, as well as his outdoor 4x100m relay team, which featured 2020 CSP Hall of Fame selection Kawaskii Bacon, BA ‘09, all maintain the top times for the Golden Bears. Zeon also held the school record in the outdoor long jump until being surpassed in the 2022 season.
Upon graduation, he began his career as a corrections officer at Stillwater Correctional Facility before enrolling in the law enforcement training program for the Minnesota State Patrol in 2016. Since graduating from the State Patrol Academy, Zeon has worked as a state trooper as well as a field training officer for probationary troopers. He lives in Minneapolis with his fiancee, Kim, and their three month old son.
