ST. PAUL, Minn. – The Concordia-St. Paul track and field teams wrapped up their final competition prior to NSIC Championships as they competed in the Meet of the UnSaintly on Friday and Saturday.
While only a small portion competed in the event, the group collected top finishes at a high rate with four wins and nine finishes inside the top-10 on the day.
Gloria Williams contributed two of those wins as she took the top spot in the 100 meter dash as well as the 200 meter dash. Williams paced the group with a time of 12.64 seconds in the 100m and a time of 25.64 in the 200m.
Hannah Gustafson chipped in another win on the women's side as her distance of 42'0" in the shot put earned the top spot.
Rounding out the top-10 on the women's side were
Maddy Kunshier with a seventh place finish in the 400m and
Anna Ripke with an eight place finish in the hammer throw.
Antony Odera came home with a win for the men as he led the way in the long jump with a distance of 22'11.25".
Joining him inside the top-10 on the men's side were
Matthew Marrin,
Andrew Leck, and
Nasru Wado. Marrin took fifth in the 200 meter dash with a time of 22.99 seconds while Leck followed closely behind in sixth with a time of 23.01. Wado grabbed seventh in the hammer as he cleared 151'2" in the hammer throw.
The Golden Bears will be back in action this week for the NSIC Championships. The event will take place on their home track at Sea Foam Stadium next Friday and Saturday.
