MANKATO, Minn. – Concordia-St. Paul's
Tyler Naumowicz moved up three spots on the second day of the NSIC Multi-Event Championships to finish eighth and earn the team a point with 4700 points.
After sitting in 11
th after day one, Naumowicz finished strong in the final three events as he leapfrogged three competitors to score a point for the team heading into the NSIC Championships in two weeks.
The reigning champion collected 650 points (7.70 seconds) in the 60 meter dash, 610 points (20'0.5") in the long jump, 527 points (33'0.5") in the shot put and 696 points in the high jump (6'2") on the first day to set up the day two push.
On Monday, Naumowicz registered three of his four best scores as he earned 759 points with a time of 8.94 seconds in the 60 meter hurdles, 645 points with a height of 13'5.25" in the pole vault and 813 points with a time of 2:45.54 in the 1000 meter run.
Concordia will return to action this weekend at the University of Minnesota returning to Minnesota State to conclude the NSIC Championships in two weeks.
