LEXINGTON, Ky. - The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) released the final Division II Top-25 Coaches Poll and the national champion Concordia Golden Bears (34-3) finished in the top spot. The Golden Bears have finished in the top-5 in the poll every year since 2004.
 
The Golden Bears have garnered the #1 ranking in the season-ending poll in each of their nine championship seasons. In addition, CSP has ranked inside the top-10 in the final poll in all 15 seasons under head coach Brady Starkey, including 14 straight years inside the top-5.
 
The Golden Bears have spent an incredible 81 weeks at #1 since they debuted there in the 2004 preseason poll. Since the 2007 season, CSP has ranked #1 at least once every season. In addition, Concordia has spent all but one week inside the top-5 since October 2012. The last time that CSP ranked outside the top-10 was back in 2003.
 
Concordia was joined by five other NSIC schools in the final top-25, including Southwest Minnesota State and Minnesota Duluth in the top-5. The Mustangs and Bulldogs finished fourth and fifth, respectively, while Northern State finished 12^th, Winona State finished 19^th and Augustana finished 22^nd. Concordia's opponent in the title match, Florida Southern, finished in second while their semifinal opponent, Rockhurst, finished 11^th.
