LEXINGTON, Ky. - The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) released the final Division II Top-25 Coaches Poll and the national champion Concordia Golden Bears (34-3) finished in the top spot. The Golden Bears have finished in the top-5 in the poll every year since 2004.
 
The Golden Bears have garnered the #1 ranking in the season-ending poll in each of their nine championship seasons. In addition, CSP has ranked inside the top-10 in the final poll in all 15 seasons under head coach 
Brady Starkey, including 14 straight years inside the top-5.
 
The Golden Bears have spent an incredible 81 weeks at #1 since they debuted there in the 2004 preseason poll. Since the 2007 season, CSP has ranked #1 at least once every season. In addition, Concordia has spent all but one week inside the top-5 since October 2012. The last time that CSP ranked outside the top-10 was back in 2003.
 
Concordia was joined by five other NSIC schools in the final top-25, including Southwest Minnesota State and Minnesota Duluth in the top-5. The Mustangs and Bulldogs finished fourth and fifth, respectively, while Northern State finished 12
th, Winona State finished 19
th and Augustana finished 22
nd. Concordia's opponent in the title match, Florida Southern, finished in second while their semifinal opponent, Rockhurst, finished 11
th.
