BURNSVILLE, Minn. – The Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) released the Volleyball All-NSIC Teams and Concordia-St. Paul had five players earn the honor while head coach
Brady Starkey was named NSIC Coach of the Year.
Concordia matches its total of five selections to All-NSIC teams from the past two seasons, falling one shy of the record of six back in 2008. The Golden Bears also had five selections in 2005, 2007, 2009 and 2010.
#3 Brooklyn Lewis (OH, 5-10, Jr., Kasson, Minn. / Kasson-Mantorville HS)
- All-NSIC First Team selection
- Expected to be two-time NSIC All-Academic
- Colorado Premier Challenge All-Tournament Team
- NSIC Offensive Player of the Week (10/30/17)
- Ranks second in NSIC play with 4.37 kills per set and third with 4.65 points per set
- Her .349 hitting percentage in league action ranks ninth in the NSIC
- Her overall 4.00 kills per set are good for fourth in the NSIC
- Ranks third in program history with 3.50 career kills per set
- On pace to become just the seventh player in program history to average 4.00 kills per set for a full season
- Has had double-digit kills in 22 of 26 matches, including three matches with 20+ kills
#4 Shelby Seurer (MB, 6-0, Sr., Delano, Minn. / Delano HS / Northern Illinois)
- All-NSIC First Team selection
- Expected to be two-time NSIC All-Academic
- NSIC Offensive Player of the Week (10/23/17)
- Ranks eighth in the NSIC with a .352 hitting percentage on the season
- Her .349 hitting percentage in league play ranks 10th
- Sits in 10th in CSP history with 0.88 career blocks per set
- Ranks third on the team with 0.74 blocks per set
- Registers in at fifth on the team with 2.43 kills per set
- Has 10+ kills in 10 matches on the year, including the last three matches in a row
#8 Mariya Sampson (OH, 6-0, Sr., Brooklyn Park, Minn. / Champlin Park HS)
- All-NSIC First Team selection
- Expected to be two-time NSIC All-Academic
- Colorado Premier Challenge All-Tournament Team
- Second on the team with a career-best 3.20 kills per set
- Hitting .276 on the season, upping her career mark to .268
- Sits just 91 kills shy of 1,000 with 909 heading into this weekend
- Ranks 16th in program history with 3.32 career points per set
- Also ranks in the top-20 in kills per set, attack percentage, kills and total blocks
- Has had double figures in kills in 19 matches on the year, including four with 15+
#13 Elizabeth Mohr (S, 5-7, Jr., Eden Prairie, Minn. / Eden Prairie HS)
- All-NSIC First Team selection
- Expected to be two-time NSIC All-Academic
- Colorado Premier Challenge All-Tournament Team
- Three-time NSIC Setter of the Week (9/5/17, 9/18/17 & 10/23/17)
- Leads the nation with 13.36 assists per set
- Has been even better in NSIC play with 13.49 assists per set to lead the league
- Ranks ninth in NSIC play with 0.37 aces per set
- Her 13.36 assists per set are sixth-most in single-season CSP history
- Her 0.31 career aces per set rank ninth at Concordia
- Has collected six double-doubles
- Has surpassed 50 assists in 13 matches, including two with 60+
#2 Hope Schiller (OH, 5-9, Jr., Anoka, Minn. / Totino-Grace HS)
- All-NSIC Second Team selection
- Expected to be two-time NSIC All-Academic
- Ranks second on the team with 3.45 digs per set
- Ranks fourth on the team with 2.66 kills per set
- Her 28 service aces (0.29 per set) are third-most on the team
- Has a .960 receive percentage on a team-high 528 attempts
- Leads the team with seven double-double on the year
- Has double-digit digs in 19 matches, including seven matches in a row, as well as double-digit kills in 11 matches
- Set a career high with 23 digs in a five-set win over Northern on Nov. 3

- Three-time AVCA National Coach of the Year and eight-time AVCA Region Coach of the Year

- 14-time NSIC Champion (6-undefeated NSIC campaigns) in 15 years
- Five-time NSIC Tournament Champion (NSIC Tournament years: 2004-07 & 2012-pres.)
- All-Time winningest NCAA volleyball coach (DI, DII & DIII) by overall percentage at .911
- 11 wins shy of 500 with 489 wins heading into the final weekend of the regular season
- Holds a record of 264-14 (.950 winning percentage) all-time in NSIC play with one weekend to play this season
- Has never lost more than two NSIC matches in a season
- Had an 85-match NSIC win streak (conference-only matches, 2007-11)
